Over 1 million hours worked accident free at Gyproc Dublin

Irish apprentice plasterer Gary Condon from Waterford scooped a big win for Ireland at the WorldSkills Competition which took place in London at the start of October. Gary was part of an Irish team of apprentices from around the country competing for the world title in their chosen craft.

Saint-Gobain, Ireland announced investment in training to jump start construction sector workers to benefit from up-skilling to meet demands for Retrofitting.

Gyproc, Ireland sponsored the Construction Manager of the Year awards that took place at the annual dinner of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) in Ireland, held on June 10th.

Gyproc, the biggest supplier of plaster and plasterboard to the Irish construction industry and part of Saint-Gobain, the world leader in construction, is set to celebrate 75 years in business.

Gyproc, the market leader in plasterboard and plaster, was awarded with the new energy management standard EN 16001 for its plant at Kingscourt, Co. Cavan.

Due to its outstanding design and energy efficiency performance, the Saint-Gobain Technical Academy, Kingscourt is the first building within the Saint-Gobain UK and delegation to attain the standard for energy efficiency.
