Gyproc in Ireland Marks 90 Years of Building Better with Barnardos Refurbishment Project

Gyproc, part of Saint-Gobain, is celebrating a major milestone in 2026 as it celebrates 90 years of supporting Ireland's construction industry, reflecting on a legacy built on quality, innovation and trusted partnerships while looking ahead to the future of sustainable construction.
To mark this occasion Gyproc is supporting a refurbishment project at Barnardos' central hub in Christchurch, Dublin 8, helping to create an enhanced space for children, young people and families.
Barnardos children’s charity supports vulnerable children, families and individuals across Ireland for a better future for all – because childhood lasts a lifetime. In 2025 Barnardos supported almost 35,000 families across its 56 service locations in Ireland.
As part of its 90th anniversary celebrations, Gyproc is partnering with long-standing charity partner Barnardos on its Building a Future of Change campaign.
This project will see the renovation and modernisation of two floors of the building allowing for further child and family services to be accommodated alongside support staff. As the building is the national office for the country, the impact of the renovation will be felt across Ireland for Barnardos staff, children and families.
The refurbishment reflects Gyproc's long-standing commitment to creating spaces that have a positive impact on people's lives and communities. By providing products, expertise and support, Gyproc will transform the floors into a more functional, welcoming and future-ready facility.
