About the Saint-Gobain Technical Academy
We are all part of an evolving construction environment. Modern methods and technologies are complementing traditional practices, driving changes in health & safety, building performance, and sustainability. This challenges all stakeholders to stay current with the latest standards.
At the Saint-Gobain Technical Academy, our mission is to equip trade and design professionals with the skills and knowledge to meet modern building demands. Training is delivered by experts from Saint-Gobain, covering energy efficiency, sustainability, compliance, fire, and sound performance.
Aligned with Saint-Gobain’s commitment to ‘Make the world a better home’, our courses support upskilling for contractors, builders’ merchants, architects, and new entrants. Many of the courses are designed to address the industry’s skills shortage and promote awareness of legislation and modern, sustainable construction methods.
Build Hub
Kingscourt Technical Academy is the heart of Build Hub, offering hands-on training in airtightness, moisture control, insulation, drylining, and plastering. Opened in 2010, it features display areas, workshops, and training rooms. In 2014, we launched a second academy in Kilcarbery, Dublin, with a 40-seat classroom and product displays. Courses there attract architects, engineers, and design professionals.
E-Learning Hub
Following the introduction of the Technical Academy’s digital online platform in 2020, our training portfolio includes a blend of webinars, seminars and tutorials delivered via our E-Learning Hub which compliments the more practically orientated Build Hub, where we deliver face-to-face training courses at our Dublin and Kingscourt academies.
Courses & CPDs
All of our courses combine elements of theory and practical demonstrations, with hands-on involvement where appropriate. The frequency of the courses vary and where applicable they may be tailored to meet specific individual requirements.
