Gyproc Sponsors Plastering & Drywall Competition at the 2025 WorldSkills in Ireland
Gyproc was proud to take part in WorldSkills Ireland 2025, held at the RDS Dublin, where we played a leading role in supporting the Plastering & Drywall competition—a celebration of technical skill, creativity, and excellence in the built environment.
Plastering and drywall is a craft that combines precision and artistry. From installing drywall systems, plaster finishing, to creating decorative mouldings, skilled plasterers ensure that walls and ceilings are not only structurally sound but also visually stunning. The competition challenged participants to demonstrate their mastery of materials, tools, and techniques, with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and high-quality finishes.
As a long-standing advocate for skills development and innovation in construction, Gyproc was delighted to support and sponsor this competition, engaging with the next generation of tradespeople. The event provided a platform for apprentices and trainees to showcase their talents in a high-pressure, real-world environment—reflecting the standards and expectations of the industry.

The Worldskills Ireland 2025 event provided a platform for over 180 apprentices across 35 competition finals to showcase their talents live in a high-pressure, real-world environment—reflecting the standards and expectations of the industry. The event was attended by nearly 30,000 people across the three days. The audience predominantly school students looking to inform their own future career choices.
Throughout the three-day event, our team connected with students, educators, and professionals, offering insights into modern plastering and drywall systems, sustainable building practices, and career opportunities in the sector.
