Octabuild Awards 2026 - Entries Now Open

The Octabuild Builders Merchant Excellence Awards 2026 are officially open for entries, marking the beginning of another exciting year of recognition for excellence within the builders merchant sector. 

As a proud member of Octabuild, Gyproc is delighted to announce that this year’s awards ceremony will take place on 1st October 2026 at the Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin.

This prestigious competition offers builders merchants across the island of Ireland a unique opportunity to highlight the qualities that make their business exceptional. It is a moment to shine a spotlight on the people who drive success every day, the practices that set high industry standards, and the progress that reflects resilience, innovation and continuous improvement.

The 2026 edition introduces a new, independent judging panel who will bring a fresh and objective perspective to the assessment process. Their evaluation will focus on several key dimensions, including people, sustainability, digital capability, innovation, operations and customer service. 

• Entries are now open, and builders merchants can submit their applications before the close of business on Tuesday, 31st March 2026.

• Once the submission window closes, the first stage of judging will take place in April, during which the shortlist of finalists will be announced. 

• In May and June, the onsite judging visits of up to 90 minutes for each shortlisted merchant will take place.

• On 1st October, the gala event will be held in The Round Room, where the winners of the Octabuild Builders Merchant Excellence Awards 2026 will be revealed and celebrated.
