Saint-Gobain Attends 2025 ZEB Summit in Dublin
We were proud to attend the 2025 ZEB (Zero Emissions Building) Summit, hosted by Mosart at the RDS in Dublin on Thursday, May 1st. The annual event brought together professionals, policymakers, and thought leaders from across the construction and sustainability sectors to share insights and strategies driving the future of zero-emissions building.
As a company committed to Making the World a Better Home and achieving a 33% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 — on our journey to becoming net zero by 2050 — the event strongly aligns with our vision to lead in light and sustainable construction. It provided an invaluable opportunity to connect with others who are driving real change across the built environment.
This two-day summit kicked off with workshops and a site visit to a Passive House apartment development in Dublin, offering hands-on learning and practical insights. Day two featured an engaging lineup of speakers and panel discussions focused on cutting-edge innovations, real-world applications, and the urgent need to decarbonise the built environment.
Highlights included a keynote by Diana Ürge-Vorsatz, Vice-Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), who delivered a compelling talk titled “Buildings as Carbon Solutions: Turning the Built Environment from Problem to Powerhouse.” The event concluded with closing remarks from Mosart’s Tómas O’Leary, who shared his vision for the future of zero-emissions building and the collective action needed to reach it.
As the industry moves at pace to meet tighter regulations and rising environmental demands, forums like the ZEB Summit play a key role in driving progress. We’re proud to be part of this ongoing conversation and the solutions that will shape the future of sustainable construction.
