Community Update – 31.08.2023

As part of our ongoing monitoring of the old Drumgoosat mine workings a small surface depression 2 metres in diameter and an estimated 1.5 meters deep has been detected. The feature is on Gyproc lands and is located 70 metres from the nearest road which is the L4900 and 185 meters from the nearest residence.

In keeping with established protocols, the depression has been inspected and the relevant authorities have been informed. Arrangements have been made to fence the feature and patrol the location morning and evening for the coming days. We will continue to monitor and survey the area and provide updated information on any developments to keep people informed.
