Keeping the Community informed


  1. April 2021 – Works to replace the senior playing pitch for Magheracloone GAA commenced in 2021. The playing pitch was seeded in August 2021, the dressing rooms and site infrastructure is currently under construction and it is expected that the facility will be available to host games by September 2022.
  2. September 2021 – Gyproc, Magheracloone Community Centre and Magheracloone Mitchells GFC held a community information event in Nuremore Hotel & Country Club with over 200 people from the local community in attendance.  The event gave residents the opportunity to engage with representatives from each organisation to raise questions they may have in relation to the planning applications.
  3. January 2022 – Submission of planning application for a Gyproc Open Cast Mine, the Magheracloone GFC Sports & Recreation facility and the Magheracloone Community Centre
  4. March 2022 - Magheracloone Development Proposal Booklet distributed. This booklet contains all details relating to the three projects proposed and was circulated to every household in the Magheracloone community. If any member of the community would like additional copies please do get in touch.
