Keeping the Community informed
- April 2021 – Works to replace the senior playing pitch for Magheracloone GAA commenced in 2021. The playing pitch was seeded in August 2021, the dressing rooms and site infrastructure is currently under construction and it is expected that the facility will be available to host games by September 2022.
- September 2021 – Gyproc, Magheracloone Community Centre and Magheracloone Mitchells GFC held a community information event in Nuremore Hotel & Country Club with over 200 people from the local community in attendance. The event gave residents

Gyproc continues to monitor the area’s that relate to the Drumgossatt mine workings as part of our ongoing safety management program. We hope this program provides reassurance to the community that our focus on the mine workings continues to be a priority.
Update – New GAA Pitch 13.04.2021
Dear Neighbour,
Works to replace the senior playing pitch for Magheracloone GAA, which received planning permission in January, will commence on week commencing April 19th at Drummond Magheracloone. The works program will continue over the summer with the laying of the field surface after which the construction of changing rooms and car parking will take place.
Planning Permission – New GAA Pitch 25.01.2021

Following the submission of an application for a new playing pitch, dressing room and parking facilities on a new site for Magheracloone GAA, planning permission has been granted by Monaghan County Council. Gyproc and Magheracloone GAA held a shared ambition to shorten the time period between the club moving from temporary facilities to a permanent home playing pitch. Community Update on the Magheracloone Subsidence Incident – 16.04.2020

Our aerial survey carried out on 15th April has identified a crownhole over the old Drumgossatt mine workings. This crownhole, which is approximately 6 metres in diameter, is located entirely within Gyproc owned lands and is not close to any private homes, public infrastructure or bordering roads. It is located 280 metres north-west of the R179, and 280 metres east of the nearest dwelling.
